Busy Day at the Office!

Well, I suppose that we all get these days, so press on. I had an appointment to get my annual sight check-up at the optician's establishment. Being a diabetic, the potential problem is macular degeneration; fortunately, the pictures show only a "background" couple of tiny defects in my left eye. Also, happily, my long distance vision has improved enough to stop using the 'distance' specs, but the frames can now be used for new reading glasses which I do need.
Following the optical experience I had an afternoon excursion to Fairfield Hospital in Bury in order to attend the Diabetic clinic where I was seen by a Dr Long who was sitting in for Dr S A Y Kouta who was apparently unwell (or very worried about Japan). It seemed to go on for quite a while; she didn't hurry me out. She recommended that I increase dosage of the Lantus insulin in small stages which should enable me to reduce the dosage of the NovoRapid insulin. I promised that I would experiment with this and bring any findings to the next clinic.
